Dear Katina,

Hope you’re home and relaxed after your time in Europe.
Just wanted to write to thank you for all your work with Allison. I really appreciated your attention to detail and your determination to find the right look for her.
Costumes mean so much to me- if you can look it, you can be it -and it was so great to work with someone who wouldn’t stop until they had found the right piece. Thank you for the extraordinary long fittings I put you through!

Hope we work together on something else down the track.
Pleasure working with you.

Amaze. Balls. All I want for Xmas is Katina's layering! Xo
Claire Danes - Homeland Season 6 - We shot through the NYC winter and I engineered a way to keep Claire warm while still looking like Carrie Mathison, and without her looking like a Michelin tire in a puffy down coat :)

All looks great! So glad our choices got the nod - a bold and right move for Quinn. Well done you!!
Rupert Friend - Homeland Season 6 - Rupert's character Quinn needed to look dramatically beaten down when we opened on Season 6. The cool Quinn was nearly dead from Season 5. His clothes needed to reflect it.  I even proposed velcro-closure orthopedic sneakers to Rupert in the first fitting. They were perfect. Jeffery, our talented textile artist, aged the costume so it looked like Quinn hadn't washed his clothes in some time.

Katinka,  Just saw the teaser for the show and the collar is so damn
beautiful. No kidding. What an amazing difference it makes,  You're a
genius.
Murr
F. Murray Abraham - Homeland Season 6 - Murray wanted to look elegant for Season 6, and being in New York was the perfect setting for it. I designed and had custom shirts made for Murray and Mandy by Karl at Cego NYC. And yes, Murray calls me Katinka, it's not a typo.

I wanted to thank you again for your loveliness, and being such an inspiration to me while I got the great fortune of working on your show this season. I watched it the other day and was so taken by the beautiful work you do on the show. And you so helped me develop that character -- thanks again.                                                                                             xoMarin Hinkle

My dear Katina,

Congrats on wrapping season 4!
I hope you're getting some well deserved rest.
I'm writing to thank you, not only for 2 amazing years on Homeland, but also for going out of your way to help dress me for my Ben Hur audition. I'm so thrilled to share that I booked it. And I couldn't have made the impact I did without your help!

I love you and will miss working with you!

Lesli Linka-Glatter - Executive Producer & Director Homeland Seasons 3-6 - I wrote an email to Lesli, during our time in Cape Town, letting her know that I couldn't join her on set because I had to shop for a character.

Dear Katina:
The camp extras looked absolutely splendid: all perfectly judged.  Warm thanks and congratulations to you, and please pass the same to all your team.
Very best,
Patrick
Patrick Harbeson - Executive Producer Homeland Season 5 - Season 5 started with 1800 extras to dress over two episodes set in a Syrian refugee camp. The Syrian women  wore a specific style of long dress that wasn't available in Berlin's stores. So I designed quite a few and our lovely tailor, Katrin and her team was busy for days building them.

To whom it may concern,
I had the distinct privilege of working with Katina Le Kerr as our costume designer for six years on Homeland.
As an actor I guess one of the most important things you work for is to feel comfortable both in character and as yourself. Finding the wardrobe glasses, hats, coats ties, shirts, etc. that help you find the character is a rare gift that few designers are capable of offering any actor but Katina Le Kerr is certainly one of those designers, in my case it was Katina who came up with Saul Berenson‘s glasses hats coats ties essentially his entire look,
This is not my area of expertise, and I simply don’t know who or what Saul Berenson would have looked like without her gifted contribution. On a daily and weekly basis working on the show with Katina for six years was an absolute pleasure. A wardrobe fitting became a kind of oasis from some of the chaos that can occur on a weekly television series. When I would put on a garment she would know even before I would that I wasn’t comfortable in it and she would take it off and have me put on something else within seconds, I trusted her implicitly.
And I know for a fact that every member of her team adored her she is one of the kindest people I’ve been told, over and over again, by every member of her wardrobe team, to work for. The endless long hours of a television series can try anyone’s patience but they never tried Katina‘s and everyone on her team and in the company at large we’re grateful for her presence.
The bottom line is you’re one lucky Company if you’re able to hire Katina Le Kerr as your costume designer. You will never regret it, she is a profound gift to any company!
Sincerely
Mandy Patinkin
